Miniature LEDs
These LEDs are the most widely used for practical applications. They are most commonly found as Christmas lights, indicator lights, on cell phones, computers, and other devices.
High-Power LEDs
This type of light is usually used in car headlights, flashlights, floodlights, strobes, and other devices that require a high lumen output (lumens measure the amount of light being produced). With quickly increasing technology, these lights are getting brighter and more efficient, allowing for large spaces such as parking lots and theaters to be lit efficiently.
Application-Specific LEDs
This type of LED is usually pre-programmed to flash, change colors, or portray a message to gather attention. LED's are best for this type of product because they are small, very responsive, and easily controllable.
Red Green Blue (RGB)
These are my favorite way to light a space. Each diode contains 3 separate colors, red green and blue, of which can be easily brightened and dimmed to produce a combined wavelength, resulting in millions of different color possibilities. With newly advanced controller technology, it has become much easier control lighting color and intensity for any mood you want in a space.
Lighting LEDs
This form of lighting is most conventional for LED use in business and at home. These lights are available in almost every shape and form that fluorescent and incandescent bulbs are, which makes it possible for LEDs to be installed in every room of your house. The aluminum/ceramic body functions to dissipate heat for maximum performance. Nearly all of the bulb shapes listed below are available as LEDs.
